About Us

The Aurora Ladies Volleyball League is a non profit organization of women volleyball players who are 18 years and older in the York Region area. While the A.L.V.L. is considered non competitive, the calibre of volleyball is quite high. Interested participants, whether new or returning, are strongly encouraged to attend a tryout session. If you are unable to make a tryout date, but are interested in playing, please email us at inquiries@alvl.ca.

Tryouts
Tryouts take place every September. There are two nights dedicated for new players and a third night for new and returning players.  On the fourth night, there will be pick up games for all while the captains draft players. At the end of tryouts, teams will be posted on the website. Players who do not make a team, are welcome to try out again next year.

Due to the limited number of players the league can take on (approximately 48 players), all players, whether new or returning, may or may not make a team. We encourage people who did not make a team to tryout again the next season.

The registration fee for 2009/2010 season is $140.00.

Regular Season
Regular season games (two matches per evening) are held Tuesday evenings from 8:15 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Aurora High School in Aurora, Ontario, Canada.  The 2009 / 2010 regular season for the Aurora Ladies Volleyball League runs from October 2009 to April 2010.
